Telemedicine is the use of technology
to offer medical services (to the people in which areas where is no medical
facilities are present) from a distance. To make availability of healthcare in
rural areas is the utmost task in all around the world. There are many issues
that make complications to provide good quality of healthcare system in rural
areas such as terrestrial confines, community and financial situations. To
minimize such hitches, telemedicine is only action to cross such obstacles like
shortage of doctors, earthly barriers and socioeconomics circumstances. Use of
this method helps us to overcome these difficulties and it can provide expert
physician, rise precaution supply, reduction of emergency room availability and
cast saving.
Introduction:
Introduction:
There is great
potential to determine the challenges in healthcare of all around the world by
using the techniques of IT in field of medicine. Today world has been
progressing very fast in all field of science but this ratio of development may
not play important role to serve the rural areas of both developing and
developed countries .So, there is need to give all facilities which is part of
urban areas to the people of countryside zone. It is due to some problems that
we have faced to provide these facilities in rural sides like geographical
issue, less facilities for doctors in these areas, social and economic
condition. These issues can be solved by telemedicine. Telemedicine is a
technology to provide medical facilities from a long distance. It is a broad
field but, there are some limitations to use of this technology such as
clinical deficiency and cost efficiency because there is incomplete data of
application. There are following may be benefits of telemedicine.
·
Enhanced access to information about health
issues by use of information technology;
·
Reduce cost heath;
·
To overcome the facility of emergency wards.
·
To minimize the hurdle of geographical issues
This is very important for
developing countries and rural areas. The use of information and communication
technology with digital ways helps to organizations with more competence.
Information technology has become more advance by use of internet. More patient
population can be served by an ample total of doctors in countryside regions.
Main Factors of
Telemedicine:
There
are many benefits of telemedicine but there also some disadvantages of this
technology. There is no direct relation between patient and doctors. Main
factor of this drawback is condition of patient mentality like patient may have
reduce vision and he has may the problem of deafness. This will create main
issues to a doctor to understand the condition of a patient. This problem can
overcome by display the mark of message. Doctors have consult with only such
patients whose have no disability like reduce vision and deafness. The picture
that is seen on monitor make by tele consultation between patient and surgeons has indirect relation.
For this technique we have needed some expert and skilled person to operate
such equipment. A highly qualified doctor become unavailable and he will work
as technician. According to a report of THE (US) Western Governors’ association
Telemedicine Action Report 1994, there are major 6 issues are mentioned by
them.1) the formation and progress frame problem 2) issue of telecommunication
guideline 3) the problem of refunding of this technique facilities due an
adequate rules 4) the contradictory interest use of these technologies and
health rules 5) the complications with health misuse charge 6)
the issue of privacy and misuse of patient’ data.
Aim or objectives of
telemedicine:
The main objective of this proposal is to make ensure to provide
all facilities of healthcare to rural people. By this technology we shall be
able to offer all services to countryside zone from a long distance. The aim of
this effort to determine the both quantitative and qualitative result by
evaluation of all these result of costs and impact on telemedicine facilities.
The main interrogations talked were primarily, how can defined be the term
telemedicine facilities .how can we define the relationships relating to this
technology like applicants, involvements, evaluations and consequences
processes. Then effects of this technique are described in different reports.
Next what are main methods are discussed in telemedicine. At last, what are the
weak and strengthen aspects of these methods and how can us recommended best
option of methods for future.
Significance of this technology:
The simple practice
of this technique is to produce more benefits to meet a community at long
distance patient to nurse (Rajan and Sukanesh, 2013).Telemedicine is a vast subject in which information
and communication methodology is used to facilitate the people of countryside
areas or such areas which are situated in excess of huge and slight distance
(Suman and Prathyusha, 2012). The use of wireless infrastructure is now common
in medical centers like hospitals (Gao et al, 2008). Videoconference b/w
patient and doctor very simple way during a journey like a cell phone or other
things of electronics (Gaoet al, 2008).It helps the people to take benefits at
low cast of different chronic diseases like heart disease, sugar patient, lung
syndromes and cancer. It is also provide well worth of life to the people(Donoghue
and Herbert, 2006). An expert doctor can be diagnosed the patient whose is not
capable to meet this doctor become able by this technology (Qureshi et al,
2005). The people can be attained good health by use the applications of this
technology. It is very important for mobile telemedicine by using Bluetooth and
Global System for Mobileto permit wireless transmission to health care centers
at little price (Kumekawa,2000).Telemedicine has reduced the cost of health
issues at medical centers and house. Chronic illnesses have reduced by better
management, skilled staff, minimize the travel period and stay period is also
reduced at hospital (Xiao et al 2000).
Methods of
Telemedecine:
The early exploration
organized reviews of this technique available from 1998. A regular review was well-defined
as a synopsis with an exposed interrogation and a technique unit with a strong explanation
of
the exploration plan and the approaches used to make the systematic review. It
would also report and examines practical records.
Inclusion criteria:
The population of
a specific area:
Logical assessments
on patients, clients, health in specialists and personal care are also including in this research
without any condition or diagnosis.
Requirements for telemedicine
We need all intervention of healthcare for
treatment of diseases and technology equipment for communication. Public
attention and cooperation of a patient is very important in telemedicine.
Comparisons of review of literature:
It can be compared with ordinary
precaution and other types of care. We can study all other types of health
solution.
Outcomes:
There are following outcomes can be included by see the reviews such as
outcomes of health(sickness, death, worth of life, contentment of patient), an outcome
of process (worth of care, expert training, and satisfaction of specialized)
and last one is use funds and cast.
Exclusion criteria
Design of research
Such assessments measured not logical such as explanation
sand writings were omitted. Logical reviews with foremost limitations as said
by a reviewed list for logical reviews from EPOC which is stand for Cochrane
Effective Practice and Organization of Care Group is also omitted.
Participants:
Such study that is not for use of telemedicine such as practice of ICT
on people outside health and study of animal is omitted.
Interventions measured not relevant for the review:
Other eliminations
were revisions on mediations supposed not related for the analysis such as use
of internet for study, use of ICT media for getting information; to study the
quality of gen on internet; to educate students and doctors via internet.
